Esther Sévérac’s solo compositions for concert harp are inspired by her classical harp background as well as her experience in improvised music. She tells imaginative stories about witches and alien dogs and creates unexpected sounds shifting between folk, classical and contemporary music.
The focus of her artistic work as a modern harpist is to overcome the angelic cliché of her instrument by pushing stylistic boundaries and experimenting with analog and digital effects.
